I did however realise that if u get a morale boost mid battle its possible to totally drain them as all your skills recharge. I also don't need any healing once we got some decent monks and I found another decent e-surger to partner up with.
Thanks for the tips they're been great. I've realised, after chattin' to this guest mesmer we have that the build I use is actually pretty standard and probably easily countered with a migrane mesmer ?
I use drain enchantment and energy tap now along with the rest as they are both great to use just before a diverson/surge/burn combo.
I really like the build I've got now but I wonder if it would work comboed with a migrane mesmer ?
Migrane mesmer casts migrane and conjure (protection) then has a couple of interrupts to stop them casting. Could this work with an e-surger just to be different to all those dual e-surger teams ?
Yes a migraine mesmer could work with an ESurger. I see some GVG groups run this combination. However to be honest Im really not sure if its better to run 2 ESurgers or 1 Surger and 1 Migrane mesmer.... I guess it depends on the rest of your group.

Also, yes your build now is pretty standard and is looking good Im glad you put in Drain Enchantment, you will love that once you use it a bit more. Hopefully you left Shame in there as well. I used to think Shame was just so so... now though I really think its incredible. Because most Monks WONT cast through it... so its like 10 seconds for them not healing... AND if they do cast through, it fails, and you get energy... (also they loose energy, thats important not to forget)... so its a complete win, win and win situation. I have to give Props to Warskull for getting me to try this out and use it. I really didn't realize how great of a skill it was. Now I really always use it.

Thats the best part about Mesmsers. There are SO MANY combinations that you could use and they are all good. Its all about picking what skills you want to use and learning them and how they interact with your team. 90% of it is learning.

Good luck, hopefully this has helped.

Yeh man everything you say helps lol. I totally agree with your about shame. Its great and it also pays for its self. Almost by accident I used shame then used diversion but for some reason shame kicked in second ??? Was still as you say a win win win situation lol. One skill disabled for 50 seconds and their next fails. Was wierd that diversion kicked if first though.
The best bit about this build is after the monks die or they aren't being too trouble some, you can take the smile off a blood spiker or degen necro too by sappin' their energy. Rangers don't take too kindly either to having their energy sucked away from them either

I can see why this build is soo common, because its soo good and I think 2 e-surgers is better than one.

Can you then think of a situation other than say a team of 8 warriors (ha ha ha ha ha ha ha) where an e-surger won't work that well ??? Some monks are prepared for degenners and enchant removers so they'll wack on some enchantment then use mantra of recall so when your drain enchantment they gain like 25 energy. As well as focus swappin'. Anyway to take these guys out or do ya just get ur shock warriors to annoy 'em while u get someone else ? This is why I thought of a migrane mesmer or some kinda shutdown mesmer with powerblock, backfire (basically 10 seconds where they won't cast) and some cover hex for backfire. I think just for comparison I'm gonna try out a shutdown mesmer too. Any tips other than diversion/backfire spammin' ?
